Therapeutic Massage

Uses soothing strokes and kneading techniques to decrease muscle tension and to increase relaxation. Beneficial for those who want to de-stress and a great treatment for those who are experiencing massage for the first time.

Pregnancy Massage

A special prenatal table is used for the expectant or postpartum mother, the therapist uses modified techniques and positioning to treat those aches and pains that can arise during or after pregnancy.

  • Beneficial to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints.
  • Can help to decrease back pain during pregnancy, when choices for pain relief, such as medication, are often limited.
  • Is comforting and provides emotional support during pregnancy.

Deep Tissue Massage

Uses slow deep pressure to decrease pain and increase range of motion, especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.

Myofascial Release Therapy

The therapist uses this technique to gently stretch connective tissue and release adhesions and restrictions helping to decrease pain and improve range of motion.

Reiki

A treatment for the mind, body and spirit, Reiki (Pronounced ray-key) is an energy based Japanese technique to decrease stress, increase relaxation and promote healing.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is the act of using negative pressure (suction) to lift the soft tissues of the body. This draws rigid connective tissue and muscle away from underlying structures, and pulls built up stagnate blood, metabolic waste and other fluids to the surface of the body. Cups can be made out of silicone, rubber, glass, or even bamboo and can be left in place or applied and mov ed along the body. This treatment is mixed in with our therapeutic massages when requested at booking.

Indian Head Massage

This treatment originated in India, also known as Champissage, or Champi, it is a form of relaxation massage that focuses on the head, neck and shoulders which are important energy centers within the body. It is very relaxing and has a balancing effect on the recipient as it helps them to release stress and tension, creating a sense of peace and well being.

 

Facial Gua sha

In gua sha, the therapist scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua massage tool. The technician applies massage oil to your skin, and then uses the tool to repeatedly scrape your skin in a downward motion. Some Benefits include:
